In Streamclip I used the batch export function and chose the first 422 (there are 2 entries and I assumed the latter was HQ although it’s not marked, it just shows as 2 x 422 entries.) In all other apps that give you this codec choice, 422 is first, 422 HQ is marked as such and is second. All other cameras were AVCHD and came in fine through log & transfer and I transcoded to standard ProRes 422. I’ve been using MPEG Streamclip to transcode several camera angles from a concert recording. OK, it’s not strictly FCP but I’m tapping the wealth of knowledge here, also not so much of a major problem as a moan…
